Why don't you walk from Kamikoma Station to Wazuka, in the Yamashiro Hills of southern Kyoto Prefecture.
Not a famous hiking area, and not high mountains, but very attractive, and q
uite wild. Finishing with some tea-tasting in the famous tea-growing area. Approx. 17 km.

The mountains are not high, and snow is uncommon in this area.

Meeting point (time and place) Start at Kamikoma Station (JR Nara Line), 10:05 a.m.
Finish at Wazuka, then get the bus to Kamo Station.

From Osaka: 8:45 from Osaka, change at Kyoto (950)

From Kamo: To Kyoto: Frequent trains, taking about 1 hour (630)
To Osaka: Frequent trains, taking about 90 minutes (950)
