Join us for a backpacking trip in Aso-Kuju National Park in Kyushu over Golden Week. 6 people are signed up, but we will rent 2 cars so we can take up to 2 more people. Transportation options to/from are getting full really fast so reply quickly if you want to come!We will plan on two day backpacking/camping trip on Kuju-san and a one day hike to Aso-san. Details to be fully decided this weekend.
Experience at hiking long distances with camping gear would be helpful. This is a easy-medium difficulty hike.
Gear required: Pack, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, rain, gear,warm clothing, personal first aid kit, etc.

Transport - Only a few plane tickets left. All participants are travelling to/from Kyushu by air, but ferry/bus/train are also good options as long as you plan to arrive in Oita, Kyushu by the morning of 2 February. One participant will stay until 6 May and is looking for others to stay from 2-6 May. Other participants will return to Kansai area on 5 May.

Mount Rokko hike before IOC meeting (May 9th)
Let's go to Rokko before the monthly meeting tomorrow.We will start from Ashiyagawa, climb up to the top through Rock Garden & Iwahashigo (rock ladders) area, down to Arima to the finish and to the onsen!
Meet at Hankyu Ashiyagawa station at 9:00 am.
This hike will be quite a long one (probably 6+ hours), so you need to wear proper hiking shoes.

Kayak Koza River, 22nd to 23rd May
Hi everyone,I'm planning to go kayaking in Koza River again, Wakayama Prefecture 22nd-23rd May. I hope this time is a fine day. The water quality of the river is excellent. The water current is very slow. So if you are a beginner, you can enjoy kayaking. For experts, you can enjoy clear water. The place is a little bit far from Osaka. We will drive near the river at night, camp there on 22nd, and go kayaking on 23rd. Let's go river kayaking together. Participants who can bring us to the river are very welcome!
My plan is below. Sign up deadline is 30th April. No cancel later than 30th.

* Place: Koza River in Wakayama Prefecture
It takes around 5 to 6 hours to get there.
The water quality is excellent.
* Activity Level: Easy activity
It takes around 4 hours to go down the river, 16 km.
* Number of participants: 8 people max. (only for members)
* River Condition etc.

Single kayak,
Hot spring after kayaking
* Bring:

Cycling in Nara
Come cycling from JR Nara to Yagyu,Kasaki.At the first cycling ancient forest that off road, but there is asphalt road
after lunch.

All cycling path is narrow then there is no car. you can enjoy cycling in the
flora field. we will take a late lunch at Enjo-ji temple.

Total distance will be 30km. We will break up JR Kasaki (kansai line) 16:00.
Next two station JR Kizu (Gakken-toshi line, Nara line, Yamatoji line).
Bring: bike, bike bag, helmets, lunch and drink, suitable clothes and shoes
for cycling.
