Nigawa Kabutoyama hike has been postphoned to March 28th! This time, we will meet up Hankyu Nigawa station at 10:00 am, then enjoy an easy hike to Kabutoyama. It is very easy one and everyone is welcome!Please bring: Rain gear, Lunch, Drink, Snack
It is an easy hike, but make sure you will wear proper hiking shoes.

PS: From Hankyu Umeda: At 9:30, take a limited express which goes to Shinkaichi( Hankyu Kobe line) .
At Nishinomiya kitaguchi: Change the train to the local( Takarazuka line). This train arrives Nigawa at 9:54.

Hiei-zan from Kyoto - Sunday, March 29, 2009
Hi all!Tomorrow, I will do the short and easy hike up to Hiei-zan, starting from Shugakuin. We will hike up to the summit, have a nice lunch and walk down to either Shugakuin or Yase-Hieizan-guchi. Then, we can stroll down the river and eventually see some of the cherry blossom trees - yes, spring has arrived in Kyoto!
What to bring:
- waterproof and warm clothes
- food and drinks for a nice joint lunch on the summit
I will bring a stove and a 1.4l pot, in case you want to make tea/coffee/soup etc.
