***Schedule***
6th 22:30 Meeting place is JR Kyoto station We go to Yamanashi by highway bus.
7th We enjoy easy snow hiking. We stay at Youth hostel.
8th If we are lucky, we can see ice cascade through snow hiking. We leave Yamanashi by bus at 16:00. 21:00 Kyoto (Fukakusa) 22:00 Osaka (Umeda)
***Equipment***
Trekking shoes, Snowshoe, Crampon, Clothes for winter, Breakfast (for 7th, 8th), Lunch (for 7th, 8th)
***Cost***
Total about 23,000yen I send participants details.

Snowshoeing at Hira on Feb.15
Are you care for enjoyable snowshoeing?Then, why don't you join me for snowshoeing at Hira on Feb. 15?
We will meet up around 8:10 at JR Shiga station and take the 8:20 bus, then take the 8:46 gondola to get Biwako valley.
We will go to Houraisan first, then come back to Biwako valley and take the rout to JR Hira.
Snowshoeing will take 6 to 8 hours.
Bus ticket: 320~420yen Gondola ticket: 1000yen( one way)
Please bring: snow shoes, gaiters, extra gloves, lunch / snacks, thermos for a hot drink / water, warm layers, sun glasses, chap stick, emergency blancket, ski poles (optional)
I will take the JR Kyoto line which leaves Osaka at 6:35 , change the train to JR Koseisen at JR Yamashina. Then, this train will arrive JR Shiga at 8:06. If you will come from Kyoto, you can just take the 7:25 JR Kosei line which arrives JR Shiga at 8:06.

Kawaguchi-ko Mitsutoge Hiking on Feb.21-22.
Mitsu-toge hiking lookout Mt.Fuji.We will depature 08:00 from Osaka to Kawaguchiko arrive 14:00.
Hiking two hours to the top and lookout sunset. Stay in Shikirakuen

Sajiki-ga-take Overnight Camp on Feb.21-22
2 day hike from Ninose to Shuzan via Sajiki-ga-take,February 21st & 22nd. Two stars.
Note the camp will be a wild camp - therefore there will be no showers or toilets! Meet at Demachiyanagi station on Saturday 21st at 9am.
Take the Eizan line to Ninose station, hike up to Sajiki-ga-take (approx. 7 hours) and camp.
Hike down to Shuzan on Sunday (approx. 7 hours) and return to Kyoto by bus.
All participants are required to have the proper equipment including tent and camping equipment, map, compass, headtorch, stove and cooking utensils, warm clothes, hiking boots and be able to carry water plus food for 2 lunches, 1 dinner and 1 breakfast.
If the weather is bad the hike will be cancelled.

Gallery Night on Feb.28
Hey everyone,Gallery Night is Saturday Feb 28 from 6 to 9:30pm at Nakanoshima Kokaido. The link below works now. The entrance is around the back of the building. We'll be in rooms x.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CUPS (or wine glass, if you're posh). Cups will not be provided by the committee.
The committee will provide drinks and pizza.
BUT, we won't provide enough pizza for a full meal or enough drinks to last all night.
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink too.
Sign-up deadline is Thursday Feb 25. Email me to sign up.
Don't forget to bring your photos!!
Also, non-IOC event photos and presentations are ok. If you can, give us some info about how to get there/accomodation etc. That way maybe someone can organise an IOC trip there!
The IOC annual Gallery Night will be held on Saturday February 28 from 6pm.
This is a chance to look at members' photos taken during IOC events over the past year and reminisce about the fun times we had.
So, choose a few of your favourite photos from IOC events, print them out, bring them along and show them off. We vote on the best photos and the winners get prizes.
This is one of the few IOC events where you don't need to wear outdoor clothes...so dress to impress!

3. Individual/potrait photo
4. Funny
5. Hardcore outdoor action!
If you want to give a presentation/slide show of your photos, please let me know and we can arrange to have the projector there.
Gallery Night will be held at the same place as last year - Nakanoshima Koukaido, from 6-9:30pm.
To get there, get off at Yodoyabashi station (Midousuji line), take Exit 1 and it's a 5min walk from there. Or it's about a 15min walk from JR Osaka.
