2008-04-05 13:00:00 - 2008-04-05 18:00:00 | Special EventsHanami Party in Shukugawa (Hyogo-ken) Sat Apr 5
This year the IOC hanami party will be in ShukugawaPark. Join us for drinks, food and fun under the
sakura.
Meet at the ticket gates of Hankyu Shukugawa station
at 1pm and we'll go to the park together.
Or if you'd rather start earlier or later than that
you can make your own way to the park. The plan is to
get a place in the park somewhere between Hankyu
Shukugawa and Hanshin Korouen stations.
Markus has kindly volunteered to start the party
early and save us a place, but he'd like some company
too! If you can join him early for drinks, conversation
and fun, please him know.
Bring food and drinks
You don't need to sign up for this event, just come
along.

Seppiko-san hiking on Apr.19th(sat)
*** Postpone to May.17th ***I'm planning to go to Seppiko-san on April 19(Sat). If anyone interested,
please send me an email.
Although you can enjoy fun and exciting hiking trails there, I would rate it
as 3-star activity as the entire route is quite rocky requiring use of
ladders and chains in lots of areas (almost rock-climbing in some parts).
About 5 hours of hiking. Need appropriate hiking shoes and clothes (no
jeans). Limited to 8 people unless anyone volunteers for sub-leader.
Due to inconvenient access (only 2 buses a day), I plan to rent a car and the
first 3 will be able to share a ride with me; if more than 4, either need
another driver and a car or use the public transportation (then, need to
leave Osaka as early as 7:00am)
Cost: Transportation 3,000-5,000 yen/RT depending on how we get there.
If time allows, I want to stop by at Seppiko Onsen, or Himeji Castle where
National Confectionery Festival(Okashi Hakurankai) will be held.
Info and pictures can be found on the below websites. Please let me know if
you are interested or have any questions.

Hourai-san hike on April 26th.
I’m planning to go to Hourai-san on April 26th. Although, I’ve never been there, we should be fine because they say that the route is not complicated at all. Also, I have a good map!! Why don’t you join me and it would be nice if you could help me out reading the map^^)Here is my tentative plan. Meet up JR Shiga at 9:00 or so. Enjoy about 6 hours hike. Arrive at JR Hourai at 15:00 or so.
2-2,5* event
Please make sure you need a good hiking shoes for joining this event.
Please send me an e-mail if you can join me!
Yuri
Update : the hike is not as easy as initially thought. There is a fairly long steep climb.
