Hi everyone,the October monthly meeting will be held on saturday 4th.
Come along to find out about the club, meet the members and see where the club is headed for.
This time we'll have a guest. You probably all know the lonely planet "hiking in Japan" guide book and it's being updated. One of the authors will be there with us to show us what's new in this long awaited new version !
The meeting will be at the usual meeting place in Umeda.

Kayak in Koza River on Oct.4-5
I'm planning to go kayaking in Koza River, Wakayama Prefecture 4-5 October.The water quality of the river is excellent. The water current is very slow.
So if you are a beginner, you can enjoy kayaking. For experts, you can enjoy clear water.
And of course, everyone can also swim! (but remember it is October!)
The place is a little bit far from Osaka. We will drive near the river, camp there on 4th
after the IOC monthly meeting, and go kayaking on 5th. Let's go river kayaking together.
My plan is below. Sign up deadline is 26th September. No cancel later than 26th.
I need to know the number of participants.
* Date: 2008/10/4-5. 10/4 Camping near the river, 10/5 Kayaking
* Place: Koza River in Wakayama Prefecture It takes around 4 to 5 hours to get there.
The water quality is excellent.
* Activity Level: 1 star (easy activity) It takes around 3 hours to go down the river,12 km.
* Number of participants: 8 people max. (only for members)
* Cost: 8500 yen/person (about) My friends take us to the place by 2 cars. (if 8 people, including renting kayaks, highway, gas, taxi)
* Meeting Place and Time: IOC Monthly Meeting Place 2008/10/4 at 18:30 The departure time is 19:30.
* River Condition etc. Slow current, Free Instruction (No Gide), Single kayak, Hot spring after kayaking
* Bring: Tent, sleeping bag, light, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, bug spray, raingear, plastic bag for water proof, sandal etc.

monthly meeting Nov 8th
Hi all!Why don't you come and see what's going on in IOC? Our Nov. monthly meeting will be held on Nov.8th at the same old elementally school building.

For new comers, from 18:00. For members, from 18:30. We will talk about upcoming events and so on. Also, Mauricio will show us the slid about his great trip to Bali.
