First Aid and CPR class in Osaka on Sat January 19th

***Sorry, this lecture is full!***

Hi Guys,

Let's practice First Aid and CPR, shall we?
So far, we haven't had any serious accidents this year.
That is really nice!! But I think people who enjoy out-doors like us should know what to do in case of accidents. You know? So many people have lost their lives in mountains, rivers and so on. If you don't have any medical person with you  when your friend gets injured, you are the only one who can help.
So, let's learn this  together!!

Please send your e-mail with your full name and birthday to me by Friday January 11th,
if you want to join this event.
Of course, I want to have as many IOC members as possible in this event!!!

The place to learn ; Joto Fire Station (Osaka-shi, Joto-ku)
The lecture time ; 14:00-17:00

Kobe New Year hike in 2008, Sun Jan 20th

Hi all,
Just to remind you about the New Year hike.....

This year we have a hike to Maya-san(702m) as the new
year hike in 2008.
The mountain is quite popular for IOC members. This
time we start
from the Kobe subway Shin-Kobe station. Along with
the route there are
a beautiful waterfall called Nunobiki-no-taki, a
traditional reservoir,
some good view points of Kobe-Osaka area. We can
expect a pretty interesting hike.

It takes 3 hours to the top. And we come down to the
Hankyu Oji-koen
station. I plan to arrive the station around 3-4pm.

Meet: Kobe subway Shin-Kobe station exit at 10:00.
Bring: lunch, water, rain gear, warm cloth

See you there,
Yoshimi

Yama-no-be-no-michi hike * (Nara) on Sat Jan 26

Join me for an easy hike south of Nara city on SATURDAY JANUARY 26.

More like a country stroll, this 13km flat countryside walk passes through small farming villages and past 1000-year old emperor’s tombs and numerous shrines and temples.

Meet at OSAKA JR STATION on platform 1 (2nd car at the front of the train) at 9:15am and take the 9:23am Osaka Loop Line Yamatoji-Rapid train.

This same train also stops for 1 minute at Tennoji station at 9:40am, before arriving at Miwa JR station at 10:40am.

We will start the hike at MIWA JR STATION at 10:40am.

The hike ends about 3-4 hours later at JR/Kintetsu Tenri station where you can explore the headquarters of Tenri-kyo, one of the newer Buddhist sects.

Hiking in the cold rain is no fun so I will cancel the day hike if it is raining at 8am on Saturday morning.

Please bring: lunch and walking gear.

See you soon!
