Cycling around Kyoto and BBQ along Kamogawa river August 18th

Hi everyone,
It's super hot outside - but lets enjoy the summer day with an easy bike ride through Kyoto and beat the heat afterward with an evening BBQ on the Kamogawa River in Kyoto on Saturday, Aug 18th.
For those who would like to explore Kyoto on bike - We will start the day at 1 PM at Hankyu Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto, rent bicycles and go for a relaxed ride through Kyoto. We will return the bikes and take the subway to Kuramaguchi Subway Station which is close to the BBQ spot.
For those who would like to come just for the BBQ - we will meet at Kuramaguchi Subway Station on the Kyoto Karasuma line at 6PM.
If youd like to join, please send your name, email address, and if you have any special dietary requirements to Will or Minhao.

Mt Fuji Climb Friday 31st August and Saturday 1st September

Mt Fuji Climb Friday 31st August and Saturday 1st
September, 2007
3* overnight hike

If you haven't yet experienced being on top of Japan,
then here is your chance!
I will be starting to climb Mt. Fuji from
Kawaguchikoguchi 5th station on the Friday afternoon (about 3 -
4 hours hiking), taking a rest in a mountain hut on
the way up and then climbing the final stage (about 3
hours) in time to watch the sunrise on Saturday
morning from the summit (3,776m). Fantastic views and an
experience you'll never forget!
For transportation to Kawaguchiko, there are a number
of options, including driving or taking a daytime or
overnight bus.
Price will depend on the option that you choose, but
if you take an overnight bus, the total price of the
trip will be about 25,000 yen including food.
IOC members only.
