Post Christmas Party Hangover Hike
Ok, so it's official - Sunday's hangover hike will be to Hieizan. The hike is supposed to take just over 4hours so we should be ok to start hiking at midday (but do bring a headlamp!)Meet at JR Hieizan Sakamoto at midday (there is a train that arrives from the south at 11:59).
Make sure that you take a Kosei sen train - ie the trains that go along the west side of Lake Biwako.
Bring lunch (we can have a late lunch at the top), warm clothes, raingear, headlamp, thermos? and a towel for the onsen (there's a super sento one train stop away in Nishi Otsu where we can stop on the way back).

We will hike from Biwako Vallay Gondora Station up to Horai san (about 1200m above sea level) summit we'll get fine views of Lake Biwa.
After lunch, we will hiking down to Shiga Station. the walking will last about 4 hours at a good pace.
