Hi all!!Why not enjoy beautiful nature in real Japanese country side? I am going to hiking and camping trip in Wachi on Oct 6th and 7th. Wachi is in the northern part of Kyoto and has absolutely beautiful scenery. I would love to go there and have some relax and enjoyable time withe nice IOC folks.
Here is my rough plan
1. Meet up at JR Sannnomiya station at 8:00 on 10/6(this
is only for those of who come from Kobe by a car.I will think about other option, too)
2. Arrive the camp-site in Wachi at 10:00 to 11:00
3. Enjoy Chourougatake hike( one star)
4. After coming back to the camp-site, some of us will go to shopping for the dinner and breakfast.And others will settle in camp -site.
5. Enjoy the camping night.
6. Leave the camp-site before 12:00 on 10/7
* This event is only for maximum 8 IOC members.
* Please prepare a tent by yourself.
* When you sigh up, plase let me know where do you live and whether you have a car or not.

Nara Omine mountain chain hiking/camping on Oct.6-8th.
Three stars, This event only members.I have a plan three days hiking in south nara mountain.
Please come to join me enjoy autumn colors.
Take a bus Kintetsu Yamato-Kamiichi to Zenki-guchi.
Hiking up Shakaga-dake(1790m), Hakkeiga-dake, Misen(1895m)
Those are world heritage certificate recentry.
Take a bus Dorogawa onsen to Kintetsu Shimoichi-guchi.
Day1 Oct06(sat) 9:50 meet Kintetsu Yamato-Kamiichi
Kintetsu Abeno 08:20 - Yamato-Kamiichi 09:48 950yen
Yamato-Kamiichi 09:55 - Zenki-guchi 12:08 2150yen bus
Zenki-shukubou - shinsen-no-shuku camp 5hours
Day2 Oct07(sun) Shakaga-dake(1790m), Hakkeiga-dake,
Misen(1895m) camp 6hours
Day3 Oct08(mon) Misen - Amanokawa onsen 4hours
Amamokawa 14:00 - Kintetsu Shimoichi-guchi 15:13 1220yen
To participate in this trip you need to have some experience of camping and of carrying a pack containing tent and food.
You also need to have your own backpack sleeping bag, mat and Gortex clothing.
Deadline: Oct.3rd.
I will cancel this trip 50% rain on friday noon.

The October meeting is on Saturday 13th.Come along to our monthly meeting to find out about the club, meet the members and learn about club activities and upcoming events.
Sebastien will give a presentation of a trek he made in the French Pyrénnées in the summer 2006.

Hakusan hike & camp in Ishikawa prefecture on Oct 20-21
Ascent of Haku-san (2702m) and Bes-san (2399m), Ishikawa prefecture. 3-3.5 stars.Dates - leave Friday night (Oct 19th) 7pm from Toyonaka, Osaka. Return to Osaka Sunday 21st, 10-11pm.
Transportation: Rental car
Deadline for sign-up: October 9th
Cost: 10,000 - 20,000 yen per person

Around 7 to 8 hours hiking both Saturday and Sunday, mostly with backpack. Bes-san is optional, depending on weather & how people feel.
Equipment needed - camping gear for 2 nights (tent, sleeping bag, mat etc.), suitable clothing and equipment, food for all meals.
