Hi all,Anyone up for a ski vacation on the slopes of Happo, where the 1998 winter olympics were held? I am planning a trip to stay at this hotel The villa Hakuba. Room charges with breakfast and dinner are 9345 yen on weekdays and 10290
yen on weekends. I stayed in this hotel the last winter and the food was excellent and I think the price is worth it.
I plan to go on 4th to 6th Jan.
You have to buy your own bus tickets to Happo and you can stay for less than 3 days if you tell me in advance.
Please send me an email as soon as possible.
here is the homepage to the hotel

New year's hike & January monthly Mtg , Jan. 13th (Sat)
Hi all!!Our fun event is coming soon!! Please make sure you'll come to JR Yamashina station at 10:00 on the 13th!!
http://www.jr-odekake.net/mydia/
Please don't forget: worm cloth, lunch, snack, drinks, osen-kit,
* We can't use anything that makes fire in this mountain. So, please don't bring a gas stove and so on.
It will take about one hour by foot to get Keihan Sanjyou from Ginkakuji-temple. So, I guess, going to a public bath that is near-by Ginkakuji-temple is not a good idea. I will try to find a public bath near-by Keihan Sanjyou, instead.
As I mentioned before, We will have a monthly meeting, also. So, those of who are not sure about your attendance! Please do come and join us!!!
See you soon!!

Miuneyama camp Jan.27-28th
Hi all,Anybody interested in coming on a winter camp to Miuneyama?
The mountain's on the border of Nara and Mie prefectures and is famous for hoar
frost.

I'm not thinking of camping at the top! There's an autocampsite at the bottom where I'm sure we can find space, and a couple of mountain huts too.
I'm planning to rent a van (6-seater) to get there and to carry stuff.
Because we're car camping we can bring plenty of mats and blankets etc to keep warm, so I'm sure we'll be comfortable.
Dinner'll be nabe or something warming like that.
You'll need your own sleeping bag and mat. (more details later)
