Join us for a day hike to Mt.Hira!!
I am planning to go on a Bunagatake(highest peak in the Hira-san range) hike with my friend, who knows very well about the area. This hike is a little technically difficult (some scrambling on rocks, and climbing up waterfalls with chains and ladders), and there is about a 1000 m elevation gain and drop, and the walking will last about 8 hours. My friend’ll lead the hike.

Date: Nov. 9 (sun)
Course (Rough plan):Gullivers Travels Village →Yatsubuchi waterfalls → Bunagatake(1,214M) then go down to the station. We will decide what trail we go down at the peak.
Brings: T-shirt (NOT cotton), long pants(no jeans), sturdy hiking boots, , Rain gear, Lunch, Snacks, Drinks(at least 1.5 Ltr), gloves, Head lamp(just in case), warm shirt
Cost: only transportation
Meeting time and place: Please take the below-mentioned train. I’ll ride at the front car of the train.
JR Kosei line Shinkaisoku((Special Rapid Service) train that departs from J JR Osaka at 7:45, JR Kyoto at 8:15 and arrives at JR Ohmitakashima station at 8:55 am. Please don’t miss the train. You can’t be late as we'll take a bus from Ohmitakashima at 9:03am .
